Sealing selection at the joint of stirring and condenser is particularly important for sealing effect, safety and cost saving. First of all, the basis for sealing selection should be clear: first, the working pressure in the kettle, and second, the nature of working materials. Another is the working temperature of the equipment. Secondly, it is necessary to clarify the types of seals used in condensers. There are two types of seals used in condensers, i.e. packing seals and mechanical seals. Mechanical seals are divided into single seal (i.e. single-end mechanical seals) and double seal (i.e. double-end mechanical seals). The complete set of single seal also includes water jacket. The double seal is more complex, except water jacket (there must be circulating cooling water). It also includes supporting brackets, balancing tanks and so on.
How to choose the appropriate seal: under normal temperature and pressure, materials without volatility or flammability and explosion, filler seal should be selected; under general conditions of pressure less than 4 kg, volatility and flammability and explosion of materials, single seal should be selected; under working pressure more than 4 kg (but less than 10 kg), volatility and flammability and explosion of materials are very strong. Under the condition of use, double seals must be selected. Advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of seals: packing seals are the cheapest, but only suitable for ordinary use conditions and materials; single seals are moderately priced and can be used in most use conditions; double seals are the most expensive, but they must be used under harsh working conditions.
