Combustible gas and air mix to a certain extent to form flammable and explosive mixture gas. When the mixture gas is in the container, its pressure can reach 0.75-1.65 MPa according to different gases. However, the pressure-bearing capacity of the furnace and flue of the water pipe hot-blast stove is only tens of thousands of Pa. The shell hot-blast stove has a high pressure-bearing capacity and will not be damaged, but its smoke box will be greatly damaged. Before the hot blast stove is ignited, when oil and gas leak into the furnace for some reason, such as improper valve, misoperation, unsuccessful primary ignition and insufficient flue blowing, the re-ignition will explode. In operation, the gas hot blast stove will be deflagrated or tempered due to the fluctuation of gas pressure or air pressure. If it is handled carelessly, it will cause flameout and explosion accident. For the hot blast stove operating under negative pressure, when the combustion is not good, the combustible gas enters the back flue of the hot blast stove, and mixes with the air leaked from the back flue to form explosive gas. Under the action of high temperature, it may cause secondary combustion or explosion.
In order to prevent the furnace or flue from exploding, in the absence of open fire in the furnace, fuel should be prevented from entering the furnace, and good combustion should be guaranteed. Ignition program control, flameout protection and combustion automatic control system should be set up.
In order to reduce the degree of damage in case of explosion, explosion-proof doors should be set up in the hearth and flue of the hot blast stove. The explosion-proof doors should be opened or broken when the explosion pressure of combustible gas suddenly rises, releasing high-pressure gas, thus reducing the damage to the main body of the hot blast stove and ensuring the safety of the hot blast stove room.
